“The Lord is my Shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.”
This verse from Psalm 23 has always been a great source of
strength for me, especially when I am facing challenges with little inner and
outer resources. I really was able to
claim this Scripture when my great health was terminated literally overnight
twenty-two years ago when I was still in Minnesota. I woke up with extreme pain
throughout my body. After many tests
had been taken, the closest diagnosis to my problem was that of Rheumatoid
Arthritis.
At the time of this diagnosis my aunt, Sister Rose Marie was
alive and suffered from severe arthritis.
After hearing of the reality of my illness, I had an image of what my life
would eventually be like. She was in
constant pain, deformed, helpless in many ways and yet of good cheer. I struggled to accept my likely future and I
chose her to be my model, as the disease would gradually take its toll in me.
I had years of pain and difficult mobility until Grace and
Del Warden, “Winter-Texans” from Wisconsin, said that I just had to go see Dr.
Omar Gonzalez. My Dad had always been open
to natural ways of good health and that was my mentality also.
From the first meeting with Dr. Omar, I sensed that he was
very determined to help me to move forward. He helped me through some life issues and freed me from holding a
bleak outlook on the future of my health. I came to realize that my illness was
not my life. His great sense of humor was a delightful medicine for me.
My condition was very advanced, though I had been seeking
medical care in a traditional way. I
needed double knee replacement in 2003 and presently am on low dosages of
orthodox medication.
When Dr. Omar told me about the Placenta Implant Therapy the
first information that I needed to know was “Where did the placenta come
from? And was a person’s life destroyed
for these benefits?” I found out that
Dr. Omar is totally against abortion, which I was grateful to know. Secondly, I was concerned about the testing
of the placenta. The testing was no
longer an issue when he told me about the high quality testing that each
placenta undergoes.
Dr. Omar is doing Placenta Implants twice a year for me and
encourages me to come to his office as often as possible for acupuncture
treatments, which has controlled the advancement of the effects of arthritis. I live two hours from Nuevo Progresso, so I
do not manage to go much as I would like. I have encouraged people to go and
just talk to him and see for themselves the great person that he is and the offerings
he has for any kind of health problem. Many
have gone and are most pleased with the results!
My health has been so improved that I have been able to be
one of three pioneering Sisters for a new monastery near Rio Grande City, Texas.
Dr. Omar has been giving his services to me for 14 years without any
remuneration. Each year we choose individuals who have made outstanding
contributions to our monastery. Considering all that Dr. Omar has done for me,
we chose him to be a recipient of the 2006 Good Shepherd Award.

2006 Good Shepherd Award
I no longer am in pain and am very capable of living a full healthy
life. The normal deformities from R/A
are virtually non-existent. After twenty-two
years with this threat I know beyond a doubt that my Good Shepherd, Jesus and His
own good shepherd, Dr. Omar, have done a great act of rescuing me from a life
in the valley of darkness. Praise Jesus!
Ever grateful,
Sister Nancy Boushey
